Winged ceramic mermaids with their hearts and wombs filled with rose petals are encased within a dollhouse. Stilled as if in the middle of a ritual, these mythical bodies act as a symbol of lost wisdom and feminine mystery. In transporting them from the unmapped depths of the darkest waters into the domestic sphere, the artwork asks: what forgotten memories are ready to resurface in our present moment?
