Intro to Beeswax Jewellery Workshop

£60.00

This workshop is a simplified, version of the 'Melissae' experience, designed for those who want to dive straight into the craft. In this session, you will learn the ancient art of lost wax casting by carving a unique ring or little object from natural beeswax.

This is a creative, tactile workshop perfect for beginners or those looking to sculpt a unique piece of jewellery or little object in a relaxed environment.

Details:

  • Date & Time: To be mutually agreed upon

  • Location: East London, E3 (Bow area)

  • Capacity: 1-4 Persons

  • Duration: 1.5 Hours

The workshop includes:

  • Wax Shaping: A hands-on introduction to beeswax ring making. You will learn to manipulate natural wax using flame to create a one-of-a-kind design.

  • Tools: everything you need to create your wax model is provided.

Note: Your wax creation is a model. To wear it as a permanent piece of jewellery, it must be professionally cast into metal. This service is available for an additional fee (see below).

Casting & finishing details:

  • £80 (Optional): To turn your wax creation into a finished sculpture or wearable jewelery, it must be professionally cast in metal. Transforming your wax piece into hand-finished recycled silver costs £80 (payable on the day) for standard-sized designs. Larger or heavier pieces (pendants over 1×1 cm or rings thicker than 3 mm) carry an additional fee based on the final weight of the metal.

Delivery & Collection:

Your finished jewellery will be ready within 3 weeks.

  • Studio Collection: Pick up your finished jewel from E3 by appointment.
