The narrative of the jewellery collection, ‘The Longing of the Oracle,’ is an analogue photography archival anthology that documents poetry, songs, stories, prayers, messages, and symbols, all collectively channeled through monthly pilgrimages.
The project is inspired by the history of the Delphic Oracle of ancient Greece. ‘The Pythia’ was not one single woman, but a sacred title held by a succession of many local women over nearly a thousand years.
The final prophecy of the Pythia spoke of ‘a dry stream that lost its voice and had so much to say.’
This longing acts as a catalyst to listen and to evoke, through our writing, the oracles ready to be birthed in our time.
